You all know "Uncle Jed." He is the relative we all wish we had! Buddy's mail attests to this fact! Now you can have a real Uncle Jed in your home-in the form of Buddy Ebsen's Folk Art, by this American Icon and living legend (Uncle Jed on the Beverly Hillbillies).
Each of the lithographic reproductions of Buddy's oil paintings are signed by Buddy Ebsen. They come in two versions, reproduced on quality heavy stock paper or canvas mounted and framed, ready to hang in your home. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Folk Art Versus Fine Art by Buddy Ebsen
A year ago my work as a painter was progressing nicely. I had sold some originals including two self portraits. I did a painting of the gorgeous red rock mountains of Sedona, for which Dorothy, now my loving wife, manager, mentor and severest critic, turned down $25,000. I had three limited edition serigraphs selling steadily. Then I met Violet Parkhurst.Violet is an established internationally famous artist, who specialized in seascapes, sunsets and light houses.
When Violet saw a simple pen and ink sketch of Uncle Jed and Old Duke I had done ten years previously she was captivated. She convinced Dorothy I should "lighten up" my style. Instead of doing fine art, she counseled, I would achieve maximum success through something called "folk art." Dorothy in turn, convinced me and that is how "Uncle Jed Country" was born. Our objective was simply to create something people could hang on their walls, something cheerful that would make them smile.
Our plan was to create a series of ten Images depicting the ongoing lives of Jed and Old Duke in "Uncle Jed Country," They would be lithographs, also available on canvas.
Today we are more than half way to our goal. We have done six of the series which are selling briskly.
When completed this achievement will be something new under the sun, a folk art spin-off of a classic television show painted by one of the stars of the show, me.-Buddy Ebsen
