Dear John [John Anthony Miller, maintenance operator of the Official Buddy Ebsen Website]:

Here is some information for Buddy's fans  to include on the Official Buddy Ebsen Website. It is  about the novel Buddy had in-progress which I am completing for him. I had worked with Buddy on his first novel, "Kelly's Quest."  

Buddy called this a reality mystery. It is a Barnaby Jones novel. 

However, it currently has no title (my working title is "Sizzling Cold Case" but this will be changed prior to completion.

Buddy left the world a better place with his positive outlook on life and forward thinking.  Most of us remember the Beverly Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones, as well as many of his movies, beginning with his song and dance days, but Buddy's talents went beyond his acting ability. He has left us with his a non-fiction book on sailing, his autobiography, a novel, his magnificent art work, plays, songs, etc.

Had Buddy not been taken from us there would have been much more. He always had a new project in mind. One of his last projects, a Barnaby Jones novel, consumed portions of his time right up until the day he entered the hospital. Who, but Buddy Ebsen, could bring this character life.  He did it on the television screen and now through his skill as a writer. 

Knowing how committed Buddy was to this work-in-progress, I am very excited about making this novel available to all of the multitude of people who loved and admired him.
