The coming weeks will see an increase of activity.

The month of April will see a marked increase in activities for both Richard and Debbie. March saw a growth in Mr. Senate’ web site with new podcasts listed and new projects. Much of the credit can be given to Mr. John Anthony Miller. Some of the audio offerings are: The John Anthony Miller Show featuring interviews with both Richard and Debbie, The Casebook of Richard Senate listing several of his most interesting early cases,

True Investigations with two shows, A Night on Char-Man Bridge and The Eyeless Lady of Olivas Adobe.

Also past shows and interview that will soon feature many of the most famous people in the psychic world including an archived interview with the late, great D. Scott Rogo.

Mr. Miller has read dramatic stories by Mr. Senate. These short ghost stories are based on real events. The first story in the series is "Ghost Road" and is a fictionalized account of the many stories of ghosts on Creek Road, Ojai (not far from Mr. Senate’s home). The second one is in production and will be released in a few days. It is my short story "Leave It To Clever." Again, based on a true account taken from a happening at "The Cross" in Ventura, California.

The month of April will see more tours and investigations you can attend. They will be listed in this publication.

The Ghost Bus.

A City of Ventura Tour of Haunted Places in Ventura County. One of the stops made by the bus will be the Olivas Adobe. This will be one of the last trips to this most haunted place before it is closed for renovations that could take more than a year. Call 805-658-4726 for tickets.

May 4 (Saturday) Haunted Ventura Tour.

A City of Ventura tour attempts to identify the ghostly Lady in Red who haunts Ventura’s City Hall. Call Community Services at City Hall for tickets: 805-658-4726. Tour starts at 8:00 pm. 

May 10 (Saturday) Cemetery Park Tour. Another city tour of the old Cemetery Park off Poli Street. Yes, 2,000 still rest here but some are not at peace.

May 16-17 Overnight Ghost Hunt—Glen Tavern Inn. The old 1911 Inn is one of the most haunted places around and we are now planning an overnight Ghost hunt. We will only offer this if there is an interest in the subject. It will include a dinner and a séance. Fee will be high but well worth the price. Contact Phantom Bookshop if interested.

Richard’s Birthday is April 23. "I’m not going to tell you how old I am", Mr. Senate commented. "My kids always thought I went to college with Abraham Lincoln. Needless to say, I am old." "Glen Tavern Ghosts: an investigation" A video presentation is now in the works to document a psychic investigation at the historic Inn. One student managed to get some amazing photographs and another picked up clear and unmistakable Electronic Voice Phenomena.  These will be featured in this amazing DVD. Its now in post production and will show how investigations are made and the results of Mr. Senate’s efforts. "My students did a fantastic job!" Mr. Senate said at a recent meeting. "I would put them up against the guys on TAPS any day of the week. They learned well and had a great deal of fun investigating." The DVD should be ready by the end of May. or even the latter part of April if all goes well. We will have more on this project in the May Issue of the Newsletter. 

Richard and Debbie’s daughter Megan will be attending California State University at Channel Islands. The place has a reputation as being haunted with accounts of ghosts going back to the days when it was the California Mental Hospital at Camarillo. Megan vows to keep an eye out for ghosts at the place. Mr. Senate has investigated the site several times over the years and has confirmed that odd things do happen their. We shall see what Megan finds this Fall.  

The book is done with collaboration with award winning artist Mr. Don Childers depicts the most haunted places open to the public in Ventura County. The illustrations show the phantoms described by witnesses who have seen them over the years. This new book is a must for young people interested in the subject of ghosts and encourages them to seek out the paranormal in a safe way. It should be ready for sale in two months. Watch for more information on this new work.  

"I am willing to travel to any part of the world to give talks about the subject of ghosts and the paranormal." Mr. Senate said in a Press Release given out last week. "I will address any group of reasonable people on my experiences and results. I enjoy talking at ghost conferences where I can touch base with fellow investigators.  I charge a limited fee for these services and I do need expenses for talks. I believe that paranormal researchers need to found a new branch of our science. It’s a study I have named "Phantomology" The study of ghosts. I believe that some—not all—but some—ghost sightings are related to slips in the fabric of time. New Projects!  New videos are planned to document the years of research at several sites in California. Mr. Senate is planning future investigations at a haunted Victorian House where ghosts have been seen for many years. This may well become a new DVD on Ghost Hunting planned for a Fall release.
