| To Whom This May Concern, Here is my true ghost story. This happened one year ago in Ojai, California. I am a student, twenty years old and working on my degree in biology and minoring in physics at a college near Los Angeles. I have an apartment in the area where I attend college and try to come home to visit my parents at least every two weeks or so depending on whether I have mid terms or not. On night I decided to return to my parents' home in Ojai by the back road that goes through Santa Paula, Ca. and into Upper Ojai and then into Ojai itself. My parents live on Old Creek Road, so I have to double back a bit to get to the house. I got a late start in leaving on my little trip, but entered Santa Paula about ten o'clock at night and it was a cold night in October. There was some fog as well, and this had me concerned a bit as I could not see as well as I would have liked. I entered into Upper Ojai about forty minutes later and then about twenty five minutes later entered onto Old Creek Road. About four or five miles down the road I smelled this rancid smell, like something had died combined with a sculpture smell. It was very strong. I wondered where it was coming from. I saw no other vehicles on the road as well. It was very dark and and the only light was that of the moon and my car headlights. At this same time I smelled this horrible smell, I saw a huge hairy humanoid-like creature with large green eyes and long teeth run out in front of my car and just stand there looking directly at me. I put the brakes on immediately and was scared just about out of my mind, due to the suddenness of the appearance and what I saw in front of me. The car lights illuminated this creature and it acted like it was dazed. It opened its mouth and let out a horrible deafening scream that sent chills down my spine and to this day the memory scares me greatly. I still have nightmares about this. The creature then vanished, into thin air, in front of my eyes. I have no explanation for this. I do not drink, smoke or take drugs and I was not tired at the time when this happened, I was totally lucid. I know this sounds unbelievable, but that is what actually happened. This is the first time, by the way, that I have written about this. I did tell my parents and my boyfriend about this incident. I do not drive on that road anymore. ----Student in L.A. | Dear Mr.
Senate, In 1976, my husband and I purchased a mobile home and moved it onto some of his family's land. We put it under the shade of a huge old oak tree not far off the road where there had been an old cabin at one time. Strange things started happening almost immediately. My dog, who loved coming into the house, would at times act crazy wanting outside. She would then turn and bark like she wanted to eat something up! Of all the strange things that happened there, this has to be the strangest. My husband, Bob, would call his parents every evening to check on them. He picked up the phone and it was dead. In a little bit the phone rang. He picked it up and it was still dead but kept ringing. He got down on the floor to check the little box where the phone line was, now it was right down on the floor with no room under it at all, what he found was that the wires had been neatly CUT all but the ringer wire!!! Bob fixed it, then called his mother and it had been her trying to call. There was no viable explanation for what had happened to that phone wire. Just as the electric smoke detectors going off at the wee hours in the morning. We unhooked the one that was going off, but that didn't stop the ghost. It just started with the other one at the front of the house. It didn't like being mocked and let it's displeasure bee known! I had a horse puppet that had been hanging from the ceiling for quite sometime when some friends from out of town were making fun of our ghost. The puppet came flying across the room, hitting the person who made the comments. There are LOTS of other incidents I could tell about, but am running out of time at this moment. If you would like to contact me, please write me at this address I am about to give because I am new at this and do not have my email address straightened out yet! It is to Linda E.
